Job summary

The Cambian Group is seeking Residential Team Leaders to oversee care for children and young people across our homes. You will lead by example, support staff, and ensure high standards of safeguarding and wellbeing in a family-like home environment.

Role involves planning rotas, supporting managers, and contributing to the Statement of Purpose. A 10-day induction, enhanced DBS paid by Cambian Group, and progression opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in children’s residential care is required.
• Must be aged 21 or over due to Ofsted regulations.
• Must hold a relevant Level 3 qualification.

Responsibilities

• Meet the needs of Children and Young People in line with Ofsted regulations.
• Plan team rotas and support Deputy and home manager in meetings.
• Assist in implementing the Statement of Purpose.
• Carry out tasks as directed by the Registered or Deputy Manager.
• Supervise in the absence of management.
• Welcome a diverse culture in the home and create a safe environment.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Residential Team Leaders! We are looking for Team Leaders who are caring and compassionate individuals with the desire to make a positive difference to the lives of our incredible children and young people through leading by example to other children's and young person’s support workers.

• 224 hours of paid annual leave per annum, rising to 240 hours after 5 years
• Working on a rota basis - you will receive a monthly rota
• This is a 365 day a year job, including Christmas, new year and all the fun holidays but it is even more fun when you celebrate with the children!
• The shifts consist of long hours and sleep ins (which are essential) and the hours differ depending on which home you are based in

Job role

• Meeting the needs of the Children and Young People in line with Ofsted regulations
• Planning team rotas to supporting the Deputy and home manager in various meetings and appointments
• Assisting the Registered Manager and/or the Deputy Manager in the implementation of all aspects of the Statement of Purpose
• To carry out all other reasonable tasks as directed by the Registered Manager and/or the Deputy Manager
• To supervise in the absence of the Registered Manager and/or Deputy Manager
• Welcome a diverse culture in the home
• Creating a safe, family environment for the children

Requirements

• You MUST be 21 due to Ofsted regulations
• Driving is essential due to locations of the homes
• You must have at least six month’s experience in Children’s residential care and you must hold a relevant level 3 qualification
