Job summary

The Cambian group is seeking Residential Team Leaders to support children and young people in our care homes. You will lead by example, supervise staff, plan rotas, and ensure care aligns with Ofsted standards in a warm, family-like environment.

You must be 21+, have at least six months’ experience in children’s residential care, and be willing to drive between homes. An enhanced DBS is provided by Cambian Group.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ due to Ofsted regulations
• Driving is essential to access homes across locations
• At least six months’ experience in children’s residential care
• Enrolment on workplace pension after three months
• Progression within the company
• Fully paid 10‑day induction course
• Enhanced DBS, paid for by Cambian Group

Responsibilities

• Meet the needs of the Children and Young People in line with Ofsted regulations
• Plan team rotas to support the Deputy and home manager in meetings and appointments
• Assist the Registered Manager/Deputy in implementing the Statement of Purpose
• Supervise in the absence of the Registered Manager/Deputy
• Welcome a diverse culture in the home
• Create a safe, family environment for the children

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Residential Team Leaders! We are looking for Team Leaders who are caring and compassionate individuals with the desire to make a positive difference to the lives of our incredible children and young people through leading by example to other children's and young person’s support workers.

• 224 hours of paid annual leave per annum, rising to 240 hours after 5 years
• Working on a rota basis - you will receive a monthly rota
• This is a 365 day a year job, including Christmas, new year and all the fun holidays but it is even more fun when you celebrate with the children!
• The shifts consist of long hours and sleep ins (which are essential) and the hours differ depending on which home you are based in

Job role

• Meeting the needs of the Children and Young People in line with Ofsted regulations
• Planning team rotas to supporting the Deputy and home manager in various meetings and appointments
• Assisting the Registered Manager and/or the Deputy Manager in the implementation of all aspects of the Statement of Purpose
• To carry out all other reasonable tasks as directed by the Registered Manager and/or the Deputy Manager
• To supervise in the absence of the Registered Manager and/or Deputy Manager
• Welcome a diverse culture in the home
• Creating a safe, family environment for the children
