Job summary

The Cambian Group is recruiting Residential Team Leaders to support children and young people in residential homes. You will lead a team, manage rotas, and assist senior managers to implement safeguarding and the Statement of Purpose across homes.

Flexible, reliable and adaptable candidates with at least six months’ experience in children’s residential care are encouraged to apply. DBS check will be required and induction provided.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in residential care settings.
• Understanding of safeguarding and Ofsted regulations.
• Ability to plan rotas and manage staff schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of children's residential support workers.
• Plan and manage team rotas in collaboration with the Deputy and Home Manager.
• Contribute to the implementation of the Statement of Purpose.
• Create a safe, welcoming environment for children and young people.
• Supervise staff in the absence of senior management.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Residential Team Leaders! We are looking for Team Leaders who are caring and compassionate individuals with the desire to make a positive difference to the lives of our incredible children and young people through leading by example to other children's and young person’s support workers.

• 224 hours of paid annual leave per annum, rising to 240 hours after 5 years
• Working on a rota basis - you will receive a monthly rota
• This is a 365 day a year job, including Christmas, new year and all the fun holidays but it is even more fun when you celebrate with the children!
• The shifts consist of long hours and sleep ins (which are essential) and the hours differ depending on which home you are based in

Job role

• Meeting the needs of the Children and Young People in line with Ofsted regulations
• Planning team rotas to supporting the Deputy and home manager in various meetings and appointments
• Assisting the Registered Manager and/or the Deputy Manager in the implementation of all aspects of the Statement of Purpose
• To carry out all other reasonable tasks as directed by the Registered Manager and/or the Deputy Manager
• To supervise in the absence of the Registered Manager and/or Deputy Manager
• Welcome a diverse culture in the home
• Creating a safe, family environment for the children

Requirements

• You MUST be 21 due to Ofsted regulations
• Driving is essential due to locations of the homes
• You must have at least six month’s experience in Children’s residential care
• Refer a friend payment scheme
• Enrolled on to a work place pension scheme after three months of employment
• Progression within the company
• Fully paid 10-day induction course
• Enhanced DBS, paid for by Cambian Group
