Job summary

Independent Community Care Management in Northampton is seeking a compassionate care professional to support a young child at home who has epilepsy and requires PEG feeding. You will help ensure safety, comfort and daily routines, including activities such as reading stories, singing and sensory play, in the family home.

This is a rewarding role for a confident, caring individual, with full training provided, a funded DBS check, and opportunities for progression within City and County Healthcare

Qualifications

• Experience with PEG feeding.
• Experience supporting and caring for children.
• Ability to move and handle clients safely.
• General administration and documentation skills.

Shifts: Weekdays - 2:30pm - 6:30pm / Waking Night - 2 Shifts Per Week For The Nights - 10pm - 8am

Job Description

What you’ll do

Working in the family home of a young child you will make a real difference in providing care and support to this family by ensuring the safety and comfort of their child. This young child has epilepsy and is PEG fed. She loves having stories read to her, listening to songs and enjoys sensory play. The family also have a pet dog in the home.

This is a very important and rewarding role that requires a confident, caring and friendly care professional.

The key tasks with this role include:

• PEG Feeding
• Administering Medication
• Moving and Handling
• Sensory Play

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:
