Job summary

Independent Community Care Management is seeking a compassionate care professional for home-based complex care in the Milton Keynes area. The role focuses on supporting a young child with epilepsy, including PEG feeding, medication administration, and ensuring safety and comfort within the family home.

You will work evenings and one-on-one with the family, providing attentive, patient-centered care and engaging in developmentally appropriate activities. Training and DBS checks are provided.

Qualifications

• PEG feeding experience is required.
• Experience in supporting and caring for children.
• Ability to engage with a young child using play and sensory activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide PEG feeding and medication administration.
• Assist with moving and handling in a home setting.
• Support the family in daily care routines and safety.
• Enable sensory play and developmental activities.

Job Description

What you’ll do

Working in the family home of a young child you will make a real difference in providing care and support to this family by ensuring the safety and comfort of their child. This young child has epilepsy and is PEG fed. She loves having stories read to her, listening to songs and enjoys sensory play. The family also have a pet dog in the home.

This is a very important and rewarding role that requires a confident, caring and friendly care professional.

The key tasks with this role include:

• PEG Feeding
• Administering Medication
• Moving and Handling
• Sensory Play

Qualifications
