As we celebrate the successful opening of our 4th home in Merida, we are now looking to open our 5th home. An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Newmarket-based children’s homes for Residential Support Workers! We are seeking a caring and compassionate individual with a desire to help children and young people, making a positive difference in their lives.

Essential Information
  • We offer full-time and bank contracts.
  • Hourly rate of £12.69 - £13.31 for days (8am-8:30pm) or £14.94 for nights (8pm-8:30am).
  • 236 hours of paid annual leave per year.
  • Higher rates of pay for Team Leader and Deputy Manager positions.
  • You will receive a monthly rota.
  • This is a 365-day-a-year job, including Christmas, New Year, and holidays, but it’s even more rewarding when you celebrate with the children!
  • The shifts involve long hours and sleep-ins, which are essential. Hours vary depending on the home.
  • You MUST be 21 or older due to Ofsted regulations.
  • Driving is essential because of the locations of the homes.
  • No experience needed.
Benefits
  • Refer a friend payment scheme.
  • Enrolled in a workplace pension scheme after three months of employment.
  • Opportunities for progression: Support Worker → Team Leader → Deputy Manager.
  • Overtime paid at 1.25x.
  • Fully paid 10-day induction course.
  • Enhanced DBS, paid for by Cambian Group.
  • Enrolment in NVQ Level 3 Children and Young People’s Workforce after six months of probation.

Although experience is valuable, we are looking for genuine people to create a family environment for our children. Are you calm in challenging situations? Able to offer advice? A good listener? Capable of showing unconditional positive regard?

If so, we want to hear from you!
