Job summary

Nurseplus is seeking an Experienced Children's Residential Support Worker in Manchester. You will work with children and young people in care, building positive relationships, safeguarding, and supporting their daily activities and education.

The role requires a driving licence, DBS clearance, 22+ years old, and UK work rights. You will travel to different care settings and join a dedicated care team to make a difference every day.

Qualifications

• You must be over 22 years old and have the right to work in the UK.
• At least 6 months of UK-based paid experience in healthcare.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Flexibility to travel to different care settings.
• Good standard of English and clear communication.
• A clear enhanced DBS (update service).

Responsibilities

• Work closely with children and young people in care, building positive relationships and safeguarding.
• Support children and young people, including those needing higher supervision.
• Assist with care, activities, hobbies and educational pursuits to support their wellbeing.

What We’re Looking For

• You must be over 22 years old and have the right to work in the UK.
• At least 6 months of UK-based paid experience working within healthcare.
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Flexibility in your availability, with the ability to travel to different care settings.
• A good standard of English and the ability to communicate effectively.
• A clear enhanced DBS, on the update service.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• You will work closely with children and young people in care, putting them at the centre of everything you do. You will create positive relationships with them, meeting their needs and always safeguarding them.
• You will meet a variety of children and young people, some of whom may require high levels of supervision and support.
• Using your experience and skills, you will assist with the care of our children and young people, supporting them in all aspects of their lives including activities, hobbies and educational pursuits.
