Zusammenfassung

Amegreen Children’s Services is seeking a Children’s Residential Support Worker to join a trauma-informed team providing day-to-day care for children and young people across our homes in rural West Berkshire and Hampshire. You will work a shift rota that includes days, evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.

You’ll build trust with young people, support routines and help them develop life skills and independence, while collaborating with families and professionals to safeguard wellbeing.

Qualifikationen

• Care about children’s wellbeing and want to help them feel safe and valued.
• Bring strong communication skills and work well as part of a team.
• Work flexibly on shifts, including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.
• Use basic IT for recording and reporting.
• Be eligible to work in the UK without employer sponsorship.

Aufgaben

• Build safe, trusting relationships with children and young people
• Support daily routines such as school, mealtimes, activities and bedtime
• Help young people develop life skills, confidence and independence
• Plan and take part in meaningful activities, from PlayStation and board games to outdoor time on the trampoline and swings
• Support trips and experiences such as the cinema, bowling, museums and days out at the seaside
• Accompany young people to school, appointments, family time and activities
• Keep clear, accurate notes to support care and safeguarding
• Work positively with colleagues, families and other professionals
