Qualifications

  • Over 21 years of age (mandatory).

  • Willingness to learn and develop within a specialist practice setting.
  • Previous residential childcare experience is desirable but not essential; full training provided.

Responsibilities

  • Providing ongoing care and support to young males aged 11-18 within a structured therapeutic community setting.
  • Building positive relationships, modelling appropriate behaviour, and offering guidance and mentorship.
  • Managing boundaries and safeguarding, ensuring a safe environment with low incident levels through open communication.
  • Engaging in activities such as homework help, cooking, gardening, gaming, and outdoor pursuits to promote well-being and development.
  • Collaborating with therapists and education staff to deliver integrated care and support.

Salary: £26,290- £29,241 per annum + Enhanced overtime rate!

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Residential Childcare Worker to join our specialist therapeutic residential care team located in Welshpool, Powys.
