Job summary

Wrexham County Borough Council is recruiting Residential Workers to create a safe, nurturing home for children and young people in our new residential homes across the Wrexham area.

The role involves day-to-day care, emotional support, safeguarding, and helping children develop life skills, with shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.

About us

We’re excited to announce the opening of three new residential homes across the Wrexham area—and we’re looking for passionate individuals to join our growing team.

The Role

Residential Workers play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people living in our homes. They provide day-to-day care, emotional & physical support, and guidance, helping each child to develop life skills, build confidence, and achieve their goals. Working as part of a dedicated team, Residential Workers ensure that safeguarding and well-being are at the heart of everything they do, while promoting independence and inclusion. This role requires compassion, resilience, and a commitment to making a real difference in the lives of children and young people.

  • Experience working with children or young people in a care setting (preferred but not essential).

  • Ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
