Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is assisting a leading residential childcare provider near Kidlington, Oxfordshire, to recruit a Residential Support Worker. You will care for children and young people aged 8–18 in a warm, supportive setting, working on a rota with long days and sleep-ins to ensure safety and wellbeing.

No specific qualifications are required; a passion for caring is essential. A Full UK Driving Licence is required, and an enhanced DBS check will be completed.

  • Experience working with children or in a care environment is advantageous but not mandatory.

Job Description

Our client, a leading provider of residential childcare services, is seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to join their team near Kidlington, Oxfordshire. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment, helping children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties to thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing compassionate care and support to children aged 8-18 in a residential setting.
  • Working on a rota with shifts including long days and sleep-ins, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of young people.
  • Building trusting relationships and promoting positive behaviour through engaging activities and support.
