Qualifications

  • Au moins 6 mois d'expérience avec des enfants ou jeunes adultes.

As a leading care agency specialising in temporary recruitment, Nurseplus is looking for Children’s and Young People Support Workers. You should be highly motivated, committed, and genuinely interested in delivering high-quality care for children and young people. With Nurseplus, you will work across various settings, including Mental Health, Autism, Challenging Behaviour, Education, and Residential.

Your role as a Children and Young People’s Support Worker involves working closely with children in care and prioritising their needs. Your daily tasks will include supporting them in educational pursuits, hobbies, and activities.

Your support will be influential in developing positive outcomes and helping shape the future of children and young people.

Responsibilities of a Children and Young People’s Support Worker:

  • Supporting, safeguarding, and promoting the wellbeing of children and young people
  • Assisting with daily routines, which may include community and educational settings
  • Organising and facilitating social activities
  • Transportation support
  • Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure safe practices
  • Providing high levels of supervision and support
  • Working in line with Ofsted regulations
  • Managing complex behaviours and crisis interventions
  • Contributing to care plans and risk assessments, including reviews and implementation

Requirements for a Children and Young People’s Support Worker:

  • At least 6 months of experience working with children or young adults
  • Over the age of 21 to meet industry regulations
  • Legal right to work in the UK
  • Knowledge in areas such as EBD, SEMH, CSE, and SEND
  • Good standard of English and effective communication skills
  • Desirable: Diploma 3 / 4 in Health and Social Care or Residential Care
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (cost £45.40, refundable after a period of employment)
