Job summary

HCRG Care Group is seeking a Bank Paediatric Speech & Language Therapy Assistant to join our paediatric therapies teams in Chertsey. You will work under the supervision of a Speech and Language Therapist to deliver tailored therapy plans for children with communication needs.

You will support families and education staff, manage a varied caseload, and contribute to service development while pursuing ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• GCSE English (Grade C/4+ or equivalent).
• Level 3 qualification (e.g. BTEC/NVQ) or working towards.
• Experience with pre‑school children or relevant client groups.
• Experience in a multidisciplinary team and school/community settings.
• Strong communication and ability to write concise reports.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapy programmes under the guidance of a SLT, using child-centred approaches.
• Support parents, carers, and education staff, communicating clearly.
• Assist in assessing needs, contributing to reports and reviews.
• Manage a caseload and adapt plans to individual needs.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in line with standards.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and with other services.
• Monitor progress and adjust therapy plans with the SLT.
• Deliver training and presentations to families, schools, and colleagues.
• Ensure safe use and maintenance of therapy equipment.
• Participate in supervision, training and service development.
