Job summary

3D Recruit is assisting local authorities across Oxfordshire in recruiting qualified Social Workers for Children's Services, including Safeguarding, Assessment, and Adoption. Roles offer diverse experience and progression within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Degree/Master's in Social Work and SWE registration.
• Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience within Children's Services.
• Experience in one or more Children's Social Work specialisms, including Safeguarding, Assessment, Child Protection, LAC, Fostering or Adoption.
• Strong knowledge of UK social care legislation, safeguarding procedures and statutory guidance.
• Excellent assessment, report writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-agency environment.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload within Children's Services, including Safeguarding, Child Protection, Children in Need, Looked After Children, Fostering, Adoption, Assessment and Duty.
• Undertake comprehensive child and family assessments.
• Complete Section 47 enquiries and safeguarding investigations where required.
• Develop and review outcome-focused care plans.
• Carry out direct work with children, young people and families.
• Prepare high-quality reports for meetings, reviews and court proceedings.
• Attend court hearings and provide evidence when required.
• Work closely with partner agencies including education, health and police services.
• Ensure statutory visits, reviews and assessments are completed within required timescales.
• Support children and families to achieve positive outcomes through effective intervention and planning.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with statutory requirements and local authority policies.
