Job summary

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in Gloucester on a full-time, permanent basis. You will work with children and young people, assessing and treating a range of speech, language, and communication needs in community settings and schools.

You will carry a designated caseload under clinical supervision, contribute to universal and targeted pathways, and support parents and professionals with suitable care aims

Qualifications

• Evidence of degree level qualification or equivalent.
• Valid UK driving licence plus the use of own transport for business purposes.

Responsibilities

• Independently assess, diagnose, plan and deliver an appropriate therapeutic service to children with speech, language or communication difficulties.
• Analyse complex cases to inform decision making for case management within the care aims framework.
• Provide advice, information, demonstration and training on intervention strategies for children's communication needs.
• Provide timely reports to parents, carers and professionals to support identified needs.
• Contribute to IEPS/EHC plans in line with SEND pathways.

Education
