Job summary

Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a full-time Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to work with children across community settings, including nurseries, schools, clinics and homes.

You will receive regular supervision and preceptorship to support development within the transitional framework for newly qualified therapists, with travel within the area and subsidised travel expenses.

Qualifications

• Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree qualification.
• Health Professions Council - Licence to Practice.
• Registered member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.

Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language and communication needs and deliver speech and language therapy to children with a diverse range of SLCN (including SEND).
• Communicate with clients, carers and multi-disciplinary teams in verbal and written form.
• Contributes to clinical teams and develops appropriate care plans across organisations.
• Maintain clear, concise written reports and reflect clinical knowledge.
• Provide training and support to others regarding management of clients' needs.
