Keys Group in Crawley is seeking a dedicated Children’s Residential Support Worker to care for young people with emotional and behavioural needs in a home-like setting. The role involves providing encouragement, stability, and consistent guidance while maintaining a safe living environment.

Full-time, 39 hours weekly, with a rolling shift pattern including sleep-ins. The position offers a pathway to progression, funded training, wellbeing support, pension, DBS and generous leave.

Qualifications

• Passionate about supporting children to lead happy lives.
• Great communication skills, positive and energetic.
• Experience in care or transferable skills such as youth work, education, sports or working with vulnerable people is beneficial
• Ability to remain calm during sometimes challenging situations.
• Full UK Driving licence is beneficial
• You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins

Responsibilities

• Be part of a caring team that provides a safe and loving home for children, led and supported by a registered manager.
• Act as a professional parent, to give encouragement and praise.
• Enjoy fun days out such as Go-carting, paintballing, cinema, bowling and revisit missed milestones.
• Provide emotional and physical support to allow the children to reach their full potential in sometimes challenging situations
• Build friendships and trusting relationships
• Help them to find pleasure in everyday tasks
• Empower them to make decisions about themselves
• Ensure a safe home environment, cleaning, laundry, cooking is part of the job.
