Job summary

HCRG Staffing is seeking a dedicated Children’s Residential Support Worker in the UK to provide compassionate, person-centred support to young people living in residential settings. You will help with daily routines, skills development, and community activities, based on individual support plans.

Candidates should have experience with learning disabilities, autism or challenging behaviours, a good safeguarding understanding, and the ability to stay calm in demanding situations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children or young people in residential, SEN or similar settings.
• Experience with learning disabilities, autism and/or challenging behaviours.
• Good understanding of safeguarding.
• Confident in handling potentially challenging situations.
• Reliable, professional and flexible.
• Driving licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, consistent and person-centred support.
• Support daily routines and activities to promote independence.
• Follow individual support plans and risk assessments.
• Maintain accurate records and report safeguarding concerns.
• Work with permanent staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Support community activities and appointments.
