Job summary

Brent Council is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to support children and young people with disabilities within Brent’s Children and Young People with Disabilities Team. You will assess needs, recommend equipment and adaptations, and support independence for children and families.

Qualifications

  • Experience with equipment, moving and handling, and adaptations.
  • Ability to develop practical, evidence-based solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake specialist functional assessments for children and families.
  • Recommend equipment, seating and minor adaptations.
  • Undertake moving and handling assessments and plans.
  • Contribute to major home adaptations with Housing teams.
  • Collaborate with families, schools, health professionals and agencies.
  • Manage a varied caseload of children with complex needs.
