Job summary

Dorset Council UK is seeking several passionate Occupational Therapists to join our Community Paediatric team on a permanent, full-time basis. You’ll work with children and young people aged 0-25 with developmental and physical conditions, helping them engage in everyday activities and reach their full potential.

Responsibilities include home-based assessments, moving and handling tasks, collaborating with families, schools and other professionals, and contributing to service development.

Qualifications

  • HCPC registration and degree in Occupational Therapy are required.
  • Post-qualifying experience in paediatric/community settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment and intervention for children with functional difficulties in home settings.
  • Carry out moving and handling assessments and develop care plans.
  • Perform moving and handling risk and environmental assessments as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with families, schools and other professionals to implement therapy plans.
  • Contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings and service development initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional standards.
