Job summary

CPL UK is seeking two Residential Support Workers for a well-established, Ofsted-registered children’s home in West Norwood, South London. You will provide day-to-day care and support to young people with learning disabilities in a caring, structured setting.

Role involves helping with daily living skills, personal care, education, and activities; following care plans and risk assessments; and maintaining accurate records. Full induction and paid sleep-ins are included.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with learning disabilities.
• NVQ / QCF Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or Health and Social Care is desirable; if not held, willing to register and complete it with full training provided.
• A patient, caring and resilient approach.
• Good written English for record keeping.
• Flexibility to work a shift pattern including days, evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.
• Full right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship not available.
• Must be able to commute to West Norwood (SE27).

Responsibilities

• Providing day-to-day care and support to young people with learning disabilities, helping them to live safe, happy and fulfilling lives.
• Supporting young people with daily living skills, personal care, education, activities and outings.
• Following care plans, risk assessments and positive behaviour support strategies.
• Keeping accurate daily records and incident reports.
• Working closely with families, social workers and other professionals.
• Promoting the young people's independence, wellbeing and safety at all times.
