Job summary

Devon County Council is seeking a full-time Supervisor for Children’s Homes based in Devon. The role involves supervising shifts, supporting staff, and helping children and young people meet personal goals within a home-from-home environment. The post is open to flexible working with hybrid arrangements.

You will drive positive outcomes, participate in activities, and contribute to safeguarding and developmental plans. DBS checks are required, and visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or Ofsted-recognised equivalent.
• Experience working with children and young people with complex needs.
• DBS check is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the running of shifts within the Home.
• Provide supervision for staff.
• Support children and young people to achieve their personal wishes and goals.
• Assist with daily tasks and life skills.
• Strive for aspirational outcomes for the children.
• Create a fun and positive atmosphere.
• Organise and participate in activities.
• Be proactive and innovative to engage.
