Job summary

Hampshire County Council in Odiham is seeking a Children’s Home Support Worker to provide day-to-day care and emotional support for up to four children up to 17 years old. The role is based at The Mead, Odiham, working 37 hours per week in a permanent position.

You will help create a safe, nurturing environment using the Pillars of Parenting framework to promote positive outcomes and support reunification or preparation for independent living.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) required.
• If not, you must be willing to complete this qualification with our full support.
• Training and guidance provided through Pillars of Parenting approach.

Responsibilities

• Supporting children with their health and wellbeing needs.
• Encouraging engagement in education and recreational activities.
• Helping children work towards their individual care plans.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
