Job summary

First for Support in Newbury is seeking compassionate Children's and Young People's Support Workers to join our temporary staffing team, providing care to children in residential homes. You will support daily routines, education and emotional wellbeing, following care plans and safeguarding procedures, with shifts including days, nights, sleep-ins, weekends and long days.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role as a Children's Support Worker.
• Reliable, professional and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build meaningful relationships.
• Caring, patient and resilient.
• Able to remain calm in challenging situations.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people.
