Job summary

First for Support is seeking compassionate Children's Support Workers to provide temporary staffing for children's homes around Basingstoke. You will deliver high‑quality care, support routines, and foster independence while following care plans and safeguarding procedures.

Candidates should have prior experience in similar roles, be reliable and professional, with strong communication and inter-personal skills.

Support Worker - Children's Home
Location: Tadley/Basingstoke
Hourly rate: National Living Wage, with rates of up to £13.15 per hour (depending on experience)
Job Type: Temporary, Agency Work
Shift Pattern: Flexible shifts available, including days, nights, sleep‑ins, weekends and long days.

About the Role:

At First for Support, we're looking for compassionate and reliable Children's and Young People's Support Workers to join our growing team, providing temporary staffing to children's homes in and around Basingstoke.

Your Responsibilities:

As a Children's Support Worker, your responsibilities may include:

• Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people.
• Build positive and trusting relationships.
• Support daily routines, activities and independence.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Follow care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
• Complete accurate daily records and reports.
• Work effectively as part of a team and alongside other professionals.

• Have previous experience in a similar role as a Children's Support Worker.
