Job description

4Recruitment Services are seeking an experienced Registered Manager for a Children's Home based in Ashton under Lyne.

Attendance at the home is required 5 days per week, and the post holder will participate in Out of Hours cover from Friday to Monday and bank holidays.

The client will only consider applicants who have an NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management, experience managing a home, and preferably have completed the fit person interview with Ofsted. Experience in PACE and Team Teach is also preferred.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Undertake the Registered Manager role for Tameside Children's Homes.
  • Be responsible for the organisation, management, and supervision of residential services for children.
  • Develop a high-quality practice for looked-after children through team-based approaches, ensuring work is planned, evaluated, and reviewed, with key performance indicators met.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and the development of high-quality services.
  • Lead the team to ensure effective service functions in compliance with legislation, regulations, guidance, standards, and local procedures.
  • Continuously improve services based on service user feedback, performance data, and stakeholder input.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
  • Previous post-qualifying experience managing a home.
  • Broad experience in staff and practice supervision.
  • Experience working with children and young people in residential settings or equivalent.
  • Experience in care planning for looked-after children.
  • Professional or vocational qualifications such as DipSW, CQSW, NVQ Level 3 in caring for children and young people, Nursing qualification, or RNLD.
  • Management qualifications like MBA, DMS, NVQ Level 4, or Care Management, or equivalent.
  • Registered Manager status or willingness to attain it.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
