Job description

Do you have a passion to work with children with behavioural needs? Could you make a positive impact on young people's lives?

Empowering Learning are looking for Teacher of SEND to work in an impressive SEND Setting in Derby. Experience working in a school setting and experience with SEMH pupils is favourable. Part time work would be considered.

Driving and own car are essential due to rural location.

Required Experience:

  • QTS or Equivalent
  • Taught across subjects - including core subjects
  • Be highly organised with excellent communication skills
  • Have a desire to work with, inspire and support children
  • Have an interest in supporting young people with a variety of SEND
  • Have experience supporting children with additional needs
  • Be a part of the school team taking part in the wider school environment
  • Have an understanding of SEMH and Behavioural Teaching

Job Description:

  • Teaching children across a English or Maths lessons
  • Supporting staff/children during lunch and break times
  • Managing pupils personalised learning based on their individual need.
  • Delivering to small groups
  • Collecting evidence of children's work to support their assessment
  • Managing Teaching Assistants within the class setting
