Job summary

Purosearch Ltd. Nottingham is seeking a Children’s Home Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of a three-bed EBD children’s home in NG7. You will help ensure Ofsted compliance and uphold high standards of care.

The role requires leadership of the staff team, safeguarding expertise, and the ability to develop care plans while building strong relationships with families, local authorities and professionals. Shift work with occasional sleep-ins is expected.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in children's residential care, ideally in a senior or deputy management role.
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare; Level 5 qualification or willingness to work towards it is desirable
• Strong understanding of EBD, safeguarding, Ofsted requirements and Children's Homes Quality Standards
• Ability to lead, support and develop a residential care team
• Excellent communication, organisational and decision-making skills
• A commitment to providing safe, nurturing and child-centred care
• Flexibility to work shifts and sleep-ins as required

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support the staff team, promoting consistent, high-quality care
• Maintain strong safeguarding practices and oversee care plans and risk assessments

• Contribute to audits, quality assurance and continuous improvement
• Build positive relationships with families, local authorities and external professionals
• Ensure children's needs, wishes and feelings remain central to care
• Support the Registered Manager in achieving positive outcomes for children and young people

What We're Looking For
