Job summary

Birmingham and Solihull Women's Aid (BSWA) provides safe accommodation and community support for women and children affected by domestic violence. The role involves delivering family support, play sessions, safeguarding, and awareness training while coordinating with partner agencies and operating a 24/7 on-call rota.

Qualifications

• Develop and deliver family support and play sessions to children, young people and their mothers.
• Lead on domestic violence awareness sessions with children/young people and professionals.
• Work within safeguarding guidelines to protect and promote well-being.

Responsibilities

• Celebrate delivery of play activities for children and families.
• Assess and meet children's needs in a holistic way.
• Maintain effective relationships with external agencies.
• Deliver training and awareness sessions.
• Operate within the on-site rota covering weekends, evenings and bank holidays, plus a 24-hour call-out system.
