Birmingham Solihull Women's Aid is seeking a Children and Family Support Worker (Maternity Cover) to develop and deliver family support and play sessions for children, young people and their mothers in refuge and in the community.

You will lead on domestic violence awareness sessions with children, young people and professionals, and work on a 30-hour rota that includes after-school, evenings, school holidays and weekends, plus a 24-hour on-call system.

Hours of work: 3 0 hours * (Due to the nature of this post the post holder will be expected to work after school, early evenings, school holidays and weekends & you will be required to participate in a 24 hours on call rota)

Job Purpose:

• To develop and deliver family support and play sessions to children, young people and their mothers in refuge and the community.To lead on domestic violence awareness raising sessions with children/young people and professionals.

*BSWA provides safe secure accommodation to some of the most vulnerable women and children thereforein order toensure we provide maximum support and safety it is essential that our service is available to them 24/7. We do this throughoperatingan on-site rota that covers weekends,eveningsand bank holidays as well as a 24 hour call out system.
