The Aspire Training Team are seeking a motivated, reliable and enthusiastic individual as an apprentice to complete their Level 3 Childcare qualification with Sticky Fingers Preschool @ Newlands.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Looking for a dedicated and passionate Early Years Practitioner to join the team.
2. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting.
3. You will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow and provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years of age.
4. You will assist in the planning and implementing of engaging activities that promote children's development across all areas of learning.
5. You must be confident in communicating effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
6. You will observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to support their individual learning journeys.
7. You will assist with all aspects of the children’s daily routines, including mealtimes, nap times, and play sessions, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children.
8. Work as part of a team to help create a welcoming atmosphere for families within the nursery.

Requirements

1. Level 2 Early Years Qualification is required when applying.
2. To obtain a clear DBS.
3. GCSE’s A*-C/4+ in English Language and Maths, or equivalent i.e. functional skills.
4. Experience working with young children in a nursery or similar setting.

Hours

1. You will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours and up to 34.75 hours per week with set hours of 08:15-16:15 Monday-Friday.
2. Sticky Fingers Preschool is a term time only setting.
