Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship – Storybook Montessori

Shoots Training is seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Storybook Montessori, Ascot.

About the setting:
Storybook Montessori is located within the grounds of the Crown Estate, offering a fantastic view of Ascot Racecourse. The nursery and preschool are divided into distinct learning areas, including the Art Studio, Diner, Town Hall, Library, Village Green, and Outdoor Classroom, each designed with a specific learning purpose.

Your roles and responsibilities will include:

1. Assist in creating a warm, safe, and engaging environment for young children.
2. Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities to promote learning and development.
3. Supervise children during play, meal, and rest times, ensuring their well-being at all times.
4. Collaborate with staff to support children’s social, emotional, and physical needs.
5. Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic setting in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
6. Observe and record children’s progress and report findings to supervisors as required.
7. Communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents to foster positive relationships.

Requirements:

• You must be able to obtain a clear DBS check.
• GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent, are preferred.

Hours:

• Storybook Montessori operates from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.
• The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week, with shift patterns to be discussed.
