Buttercups Nursery School has been a notable part of the Whiteley Community since 1998, providing a happy, friendly, and fun-filled childcare setting for children to reach their full potential. We also offer parents complete peace of mind whilst their child is in our care.

Join our wonderful nursery, Buttercups, as an assistant to a key person and a member of the nursery team. Your role will be to provide safe, high-quality education and care for young children, with full regard to the requirements of the Statutory Guidance for the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks
  • Work within our Early Years Team, supporting the planning and implementation of activities for individual children or groups, promoting effective teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to providing a purposeful, stimulating environment rich in learning opportunities both indoors and outdoors.
  • Promote the inclusion of all children.
  • Utilize your knowledge of the diverse ways children learn and develop to meet their individual needs.
  • Establish positive and sensitive relationships with children.
  • Act as a role model and set achievable expectations.
  • Organize the environment inside and outside to ensure resources and equipment meet the needs of the children, considering their abilities, interests, language, and cultural backgrounds.

Training

Our nursery has an Ofsted Grade 2 (Good) rating with an overall achievement rate of 71.4%, exceeding the national average of 65.6%. We adopt a blended learning approach, prioritizing our learners. Each learner is assigned a Personal Tutor who is their main point of contact, providing regular check-ins, emails, and calls.

Your employer will allocate 20% of your working hours specifically for your studies, giving you the best chance to achieve the highest grades. Upon completing this 18-month apprenticeship, you will earn the Early Years Educator Level 3 qualification.

Prospects

There is a possibility of securing a full-time role after completing the apprenticeship.
