Job summary

Bracknell Forest Council is seeking permanent Social Workers to join the Safeguarding service in Bracknell, Berkshire. You will manage caseloads involving Child in Need and Child Protection plans, undertake enquiries and direct work with children and families, and prepare impactful reports for conferences and meetings.

The post requires post-qualifying experience, a recognised Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.

Qualifications

• Recognised Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration.
• Post-qualifying experience in childrens safeguarding or child protection.
• Knowledge of Working Together to Safeguard Children and statutory processes.
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of children subject to Child in Need and Child Protection plans.
• Undertake Section 47 enquiries, assessments and direct work with children and families.
• Prepare reports and present at child protection conferences and core group meetings.
• Work closely with partner agencies to reduce risk and improve outcomes for children.
• Keep children voices at the centre of all assessment and planning.
