Job summary

Bradford Children & Families Trust is seeking an experienced Child Protection Coordinator in Bradford to lead safeguarding practice and drive improvements across the service. You will oversee risk, coordinate safe child protection plans and challenge partners to raise standards.

You will chair meetings, ensure the child’s voice is heard, and maintain restorative practice principles while coordinating with a settled team of safeguarding professionals.

Qualifications

  • Recognised Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience chairing meetings and quality assuring service delivery.
  • Passion for ensuring the child/young person’s voice is heard in planning.
  • Highly organised, with risk knowledge and coordination of safeguarding plans.
  • Experience in restorative practice to support high challenge within teams.

Responsibilities

  • Safeguard children at risk by assessing and managing risk and taking professional responsibility.
  • Provide challenge and oversight to social workers and partners to raise practice standards.
  • Provide QA and support to Bradford Children & Families Trust and partner agencies.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of child protection systems and maintain up-to-date practice.

We are looking for experienced social work practitioners/team managers to take up a full-time permanent Child Protection Coordinator post.We are a settled and stable service of child protection experts who have children at the heart of everything we do.
