Job summary

Bradford Children and Families Trust is seeking a dedicated Family Support Worker to join our Shipley team. The role focuses on holistic, strength-based assessments for babies, children, young people, and families, coordinating multi-agency support to deliver tailored interventions and track progress.

Applicants will have recent frontline experience with Children and families, a Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification, GCSEs in English and Maths, and a good understanding of safeguarding.

Qualifications

  • Recent experience of working directly with children, young people and parents, including evidence of recent case experience.
  • IT literacy and safeguarding knowledge.
  • GCSE English and Maths or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake or contribute to holistic and strength-based assessments of need and devise and implement appropriate plans for babies, children, young people, and families.
  • Ensure participation of children and young people in their own assessment, plans and reviews.
  • Manage own caseload and coordinate multi-agency support to deliver tailored family interventions and track progress over time.
  • Arrange and chair reviews regularly to track progress with children, young people, families and partner agencies as appropriate.
