Job summary

Warrington Disability Partnership is seeking a female Personal Assistant to support a 6-year-old girl with Global Developmental Delay at home and in the local community. The role focuses on building confidence, independence and social experiences through patient, caring one-to-one support. Hours are 3 hours per week (preferably Sundays) with potential to combine hours.

Rate is £13.45 per hour. Applications are invited from female candidates only to reflect the child’s needs and safety

Qualifications

• Caring, patient and reliable personal assistant for a young child.
• Experience with personal care and feeding is helpful.
• Willingness to work Sundays and potentially longer sessions when routine is established.

Responsibilities

• Supporting play and activities within the family home.
• Supporting access to community-based activities and outings.
• Accompanying and supporting walks, bike rides and visits to local parks.
• Encouraging communication, confidence, independence and resilience.
• Providing calm, attentive and reassuring supervision.
• Supporting with toileting and personal care.
• Supporting with feeding and mealtime activities.
