Job summary

Paragon Social Care in County Durham is seeking a Children's Support Worker to provide practical and emotional support to children and young people in residential homes and community-based packages.

You will build positive relationships, promote independence and help with daily routines, education and life skills while working closely with social workers, families and other professionals. Records and safeguarding duties are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• Own vehicle for work.
• Available to work a minimum of 2–3 shifts per week.
• Willing to complete an Enhanced DBS check.

The Role

As a Children's Support Worker, you'll provide practical and emotional support to children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs within residential homes and community-based support packages.

You'll become a positive role model, helping young people feel safe, supported and encouraged while promoting independence and positive life choices.

Your role could include:

• Providing safe, consistent and trauma-informed care.
• Building positive, professional relationships based on trust and respect.

• Encouraging hobbies, healthy routines and community participation.

Essential Requirements
