Job summary

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a High Intensity CBT Therapist to join the Young Minds Matter team. The role delivers evidence-based CBT to children and young people in education and community settings, supporting rapid access to specialist services when needed.

You will work to identify and manage mental health concerns within educational settings, collaborate with staff, and ensure safe, outcome-focused therapy with clear documentation and risk management.

Qualifications

• BABCP or BACP registration is required.
• Experience delivering CBT to children and young people.
• Experience in education or community settings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based CBT for children and young people in education and community settings.
• Collaborate with educators to identify needs and support wellbeing.
• Facilitate access to specialist services (e.g. CAMHS) when required.
• Support staff in education settings to identify and manage mental health issues.
• Maintain accurate case notes and risk assessments in line with procedures.
• Attend multi-disciplinary and multi-agency meetings as appropriate.
