Job summary

Admiral Group in the UK seeks a strategic Head of Underwriting Oversight to lead pricing and underwriting governance across all products. You will partner with outsourced teams and the Group Head Office to ensure customer-centric outcomes and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, deep underwriting expertise, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights for the executive team and board.

Qualifications

• Deep experience in insurance underwriting and/or pricing.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the UK and Gibraltar and audits.
• Strong understanding of Customer and Consumer Duty principles and product governance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee underwriting performance across product lines and ensure high standards.
• Provide quarterly updates to the AIGL board highlighting policy term variations and pricing changes.
• Ensure compliance with Customer and Consumer Duty through product governance and fair value assessments.
• Act as a trusted regulatory contact for queries and reviews related to underwriting and pricing.
• Collaborate with distribution intermediaries, reinsurers and regulators to optimise structures and improve value.
