Job summary

Gordon Moody Association is recruiting a Head of Therapy to provide organisation-wide clinical leadership for therapeutic services addressing gambling harms and related mental health needs. The role includes governance, supervision, and workforce development across residential and remote pathways.

The post holder will maintain a limited clinical caseload, supervise therapists, and ensure evidence-based practice, safeguarding, and high-quality care across all services.

Qualifications

• Essential: recognised therapeutic or mental health post-graduate qualification (CBT, counselling, psychology, or mental health nursing).
• Essential: current accreditation with BABCP, BACP, HCPC, UKCP or equivalent.
• Essential: recognised clinical supervision qualification.
• Essential: ongoing CPD and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership for gambling-related harms treatment across residential and remote services.
• Lead complex case formulation, treatment planning, review and escalation.
• Deliver evidence-based individual and group interventions (CBT and motivational approaches).
• Maintain a limited clinical caseload while modelling best practice and trauma-informed care.
• Lead governance, safeguarding, risk management and quality improvement within the therapy teams.
