Job summary

Gordon Moody is seeking an experienced Head of Therapy to provide clinical leadership across the organisation and help shape future therapeutic services. You will work with the Clinical Director and Senior Leadership Team, leading therapists to deliver safe, effective, high-quality care.

The role combines clinical expertise with people leadership, governance and service development, while maintaining a small clinical caseload focusing on complex cases and driving evidence-based approaches like

Qualifications

• Degree in a therapeutic or mental health discipline (CBT, Counselling or Psychology).
• BABCP accreditation or equivalent with another professional body.
• Clinical Supervision qualification.
• At least three years’ experience in addiction services or a comparable mental health setting.
• Advanced CBT formulation and intervention experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the therapy team with clinical supervision and professional leadership.
• Oversee governance, safeguarding, clinical risk and quality assurance.
• Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
• Provide expert guidance on complex addiction and mental health presentations.
• Maintain a small clinical caseload focusing on higher-risk cases.
