Resident Advisor is seeking an engineering leader to own Engineering, DevOps, Core Platform and Apps from our London head office. You will shape delivery across web, mobile and platform, drive reliability and security, and define multi-year architecture while managing vendor relations and investment.

Qualificações

• Ten years or more leading engineering organisations, including heads of engineering roles.
• Experience with high-traffic consumer platforms, payments or ticketing infrastructure.
• Evidence of raising delivery pace and shipping more safely.
• Genuine AI fluency in engineering practice and tooling.
• Strong architectural judgement to simplify systems while improving reliability and speed.
• Experience in web and native mobile engineering or credibility to lead one side.

Responsabilidades

• Own engineering delivery across web, mobile and core platform; set scoping, estimation, review, release and production verification.
• Own the technical architecture and multi-year plan; decide what to rebuild or replace and cost implications.
• Own reliability, performance and security; manage on-sale peaks, settlement and data protection.
• Own the technical side of payments: gateway integrations, pay-in/pay-out infrastructure, fraud tooling and compliance.
• Own developer effectiveness and risk model for shipping; align changes with blast radii and pipeline health.
• Build AI into RA engineering practices and ensure estimation reflects AI-driven changes.
• Collaborate with Chief Platform Officer on delivery planning, backlog readiness and trade-offs.
• Assess and develop the engineering leadership; hire and raise the engineering bar.
• Oversee build-versus-buy decisions and RA's technology spend.
• Set engineering metrics across delivery, incidents and developer effectiveness.
