Job summary

National Physical Laboratory is seeking a senior security leader to define and deliver its security strategy across physical, personnel, technical and information security. The role reports to the COO with Board-level visibility and works with government and security partners to safeguard the organisation.

The Head of Security will drive continuous improvement, build resilient operations, and align security with business goals while maintaining high standards of governance and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experienced and credible security leader with strategic judgement and resilience.
• Ability to engage at Board and government level while safeguarding people, assets and information.
• Proven track record in developing and delivering security strategies with business alignment.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPL’s organisation-wide security strategy across physical, personnel, technical and info security.
• Collaborate with leaders to define and deliver security aligned to risk and business needs.
• Ensure governance, quality, health, safety, security and environmental compliance to minimise risk.
