Job summary

Humanoid, a pioneering robotics company, is seeking a Chief Scientist to shape the intelligence behind a rapidly developed humanoid platform deployed in industrial environments. You will lead AI for the biped program and guide advances from early experiments through to deployment, collaborating with hardware, software, and product teams.

Reporting to top leadership, you will build an exceptional team of researchers, set rigorous milestones for reliability, and share results through publications

Qualifications

• Proven contributions to AI/deep learning or robot learning through publications, deployed systems, or methods adopted by others.
• Experience leading ambitious programs and defining scientific roadmaps.
• Ability to recruit and mentor scientists and engineers in academia and industry.

Responsibilities

• Define the scientific direction for embodied intelligence, focusing on biped AI and useful robot capabilities.
• Build and mentor a team of scientists and engineers in robot learning and deep learning.
• Evaluate approaches in robot learning, world models, manipulation, 3D perception, and simulation-based learning.
• Develop learning loops turning real-world data into simulators and deploy improvements to robots.
