Humanoid in the United Kingdom is seeking a Chief Scientist to shape the intelligence behind our humanoid platform. This leadership role focuses on embodied intelligence, biped AI, and developing capabilities for reliable robot deployment across industrial environments.

You will lead a team of scientists and engineers, collaborate with AI, hardware, and product groups, and drive strategy from research through to deployment, with a strong emphasis on publications and partnerships.

Competenze

• Proven publications in AI/robotics or deployed systems demonstrating advanced embodied intelligence.
• Expertise in robot learning, world models, manipulation, and 3D perception.
• Ability to define scientific roadmaps and lead ambitious programs under uncertainty.
• Experience recruiting and mentoring scientists and engineers in academia or industry.
• Ability to translate research advances into reliable robotic systems and products.

• Define the scientific direction for embodied intelligence, focusing on biped AI and key capabilities.
• Build and mentor a team of scientists and engineers in robot learning and deep learning.
• Evaluate approaches in robot learning, world models, manipulation, loco-manipulation, and 3D perception.
• Lead learning loops from real data to simulation and back to robots; deploy improvements.
• Collaborate with AI, engineering and product teams, including the biped hardware team in Vancouver, to share capabilities across platforms.
• Set rigorous evaluations for generalisation, reliability, data efficiency, and human-robot interaction; adapt priorities as needed.
• Publish and foster collaborations with academia and industry.
