Job summary
RTX Corporation seeks a Head of Safety and Certification to lead a multidisciplinary team across System Safety, Product Safety, Certification and Environmental disciplines. You will guide compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards and RTX policies while shaping programs and product development.
You will champion best practices, oversee audits and documentation, manage resources, review safety cases and participate in bids. UK-based with onsite/hybrid options.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Physics or similar field.
- Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership.
- Proven experience leading safety/environmental engineering teams.
- Track record developing safety and environmental cases to standards.
Responsibilities
- Maintain System Safety, Product Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Oversee resources and budgets for safety, certification and environmental activities.
- Lead workshops, assessments and audits; review and approve safety documentation.
- Engage with Heads of Engineering and other stakeholders to ensure resource availability.
- Represent RTX UK as a senior technical authority with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
