Job summary

Raytheon UK is seeking a Head of Safety and Certification to lead System Safety, Product Safety, Certification and Environmental specialists across our aerospace and defense portfolio in the UK. You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

This role requires Chartered Engineer status or progress toward it, and a proven track record in mission-critical product development, audits, and leadership of engineering teams. Onsite/hybrid work in Harlow.

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering, Physics or related subject.
Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership.
Experience leading specialist engineering teams in mission-critical product development.
Experience with safety-related software and hardware.
Knowledge of Def Stan 00-056, 00-055 and 00-051.

Responsibilities

Lead System Safety, Certification and Environmental disciplines across Raytheon UK products and services.
Provide expert guidance to teams and programmes to ensure regulatory compliance.
Oversee safety and environmental workshops and assessments.
Review and approve safety, product safety and certification documentation.
Represent Raytheon UK as a senior technical authority with customers and suppliers.
