Job summary

Great British Energy - Nuclear seeks a Head of Quality and Management Systems to lead the Quality and IMS for the SMR project. You will set professional standards, direct ISO 9001/14001/45001 workstreams, and oversee audits, training and supply chain quality programs.

Reporting to the SLA Director, this role requires extensive nuclear or high-hazard industry experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to influence multi-party teams across a dynamic project.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in quality management within nuclear, energy, or high-hazard sectors.
• Strong knowledge of quality legislation and standards for nuclear.
• Proven leadership of quality teams on large-scale engineering or construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop the Quality and IMS team.
• Develop SMR project Quality Strategy and oversee IMS alignment.
• Coordinate certification to ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
• Oversee supply chain quality and CSFI prevention programmes.
• Conduct audits, root-cause analyses and lessons learned integration.
• Deliver QA training and represent quality on boards/committees.
