Job summary

Met Office in Exeter seeks a Head of Property and Sustainability to lead a capable property team and shape strategy across facilities, governance and sustainability. The role supports hybrid working and a core focus on delivering safe, efficient services in line with the organisation's aims.

You will own governance of estate, drive Net Zero progress and develop professional capability, while managing budgets and ensuring compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Property Management Capability within the Enabling Domain.
• Oversee estate strategy, governance, assurance, facilities, engineering, compliance and workplace services.
• Drive sustainability and Net Zero delivery across property decisions.
• Ensure commercial and financial stewardship with robust business cases.
• Develop professional capability and workshop programmes for the property team.
• Engage with Government Property Community and external partners.
